Bettys Cafe Tea Rooms Stonegate, York

Bettys Cafe Tea Rooms Stonegate, York

There are six versions of Bettys, two of them in York, and Bettys, Stonegate (previously known as "Little Bettys") is the smallest of all.

The café is reached via a flight of winding stairs and has a delightful interior characterised by wooden beams and roaring fires. Hot dishes, speciality sandwiches and an extensive range of cakes and patisserie are served, with the Yorkshire Fat Rascal as a house speciality - a large fruity scone with citrus peel, almonds and cherries.

Teas are supplied by Bettys' sister company, family tea merchants Taylors of Harrogate, including some UK exclusives.

Bettys is famously family-friendly, and children are particularly welcome. Guide dogs only.
