Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire

Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire

Perched in the midst of an ancient rural estate, Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire redefines the essence of quintessential English country living. Here, the authenticity of an archetypal English manor house is combined with the exemplary facilities and gracious service. The result is an intimate haven of pure Georgian charm that exceeds 21st century expectations.

The Dogmersfield estate originally housed a medieval palace, which was passed between crown and church for much of its history. Henry VI stayed at Dogmersfield on many occasions but perhaps most notably, the estate provided the arena for Henry VIII’s initial meeting with the first of his six wives, Catherine of Aragon, just weeks before her arranged marriage to his brother, Arthur, then heir to the throne. Dating back to 1728, the heritage-listed manor house around which the Hotel is built has spectacular views over the Hampshire countryside. Add to this, the manor’s ancient association with high society - and in Henry VIII’s case, a royal scandal - and guests can experience a taste of Hampshire’s historical and cultural wealth before they even leave the Hotel grounds.

The hotel is just an hour from central London and this historic, intimate retreat offers guests delicious Afternoon Teas served in the beautifully decorated Library.
