The Capital Hotel
The Capital Hotel, a unique townhouse hotel was created by its Scottish owner, David Levin, in 1969 and remains, to this day, a family run hotel with his daughter, Kate Levin, being The General Manager.
The Capital has an enviable reputation for service and excellence and is situated in a quiet, yet central residential street just yards from Harrods, Harvey Nichols and the designer shops and stylish boutiques of Sloane Street and Beauchamp Place. The Royal Parks, including Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and St. James’s, plus the renowned South Kensington Museums are on the doorstep.
Afternoon Tea is served in the beautifully decorated, chic yet intimate ground floor sitting room or bar which is the perfect place in which to relax after exploring London, shopping or to enjoy a chat with friends or business colleagues whilst enjoying a stylish and delicious Afternoon Tea!

Enjoy a selection of tasty and well presented sandwiches which may include smoked salmon, chicken, egg mayonnaise and tuna. Sandwich fillings are changed regularly to represent each season. Light and fluffy home made plain and fruit scones are then served accompanied with delicious clotted cream and home made strawberry jam. A wonderful variety of delicious pastries, created by the hotel’s Pastry Chef, will follow and might include, for example, such delights as; macaroons, lemon meringue tarte, raspberry opera, chocolate, and marble cake.
The Capital offers its guests a carefully selected, top quality and well chosen variety of teas with which to accompany afternoon tea and these include; English Breakfast, Earl Grey Supreme, Assam, Ceylon, Darjeeling 2nd Flush, Bohea (a mellow Lapsang), Jasmine Pearls, Rosebud Gong Fu, Silver Needle White Tea and Green Curve. Afternoon Tea is served with the tea of your choice but please do note that some specialist teas incur a small additional charge.

As above but with the addition of a glass of deliciously chilled champagne which superbly complements Afternoon Tea.
