Old School Tearoom

Old School Tearoom

This peaceful country tea room is housed in a converted 1930s school, where many original features have been used to delightful effect.

The menu is written on an old blackboard and easel, and the original hand basins have been kept in the washrooms. Where once reference books and stacks of homework sat on the school shelves, displays of local woodwork, prints and greetings cards are now on sale. Home-bakes fruit pies, cakes and scones feature on the interesting menu, and the savoury tea (cheese scones with cheese, celery and chutney) makes a tasty alternative to the the set cream tea.
