Chef`s selection of finger sandwiches:
Smoked salmon, ham and tomato, cucumber and egg mayonnaise - all served on white or brown bread.

Scones:
Home–made fruit and plain scones and lemon pancakes served with strawberry and pink champagne preserve and clotted cream.

Pastries:
Delicate pastries and cakes which have all been hand crafted and created by our pastry chefs.

Plus your choice of tea, coffee or hot chocolate.

The Planters Range - A Tea For Every Time Of Day

Planters Breakfast Tea - a well rounded and rich breakfast tea with body, strength and aroma. The perfect start to the day.
Planters Afternoon Tea - a light, crisp tea that has a full character and flavor. This tea is ideal on its own or with a splash of milk. This tea makes the perfect accompaniment to sweet tasting afternoon treats.
Planters Green Tea - a large leaf tea curled and pan heated to produce a light and mellow brew with delicate flavor and aroma.

Kintyre Oya- Seasonally Picked Single Estate Teas

St Andrews Tea - St Andrews Tea garden lies in the enchanting Dickoya district of Ceylon’s world famous Dimbula region. Founded by Scottish settlers, the estate continues to produce tea in the orthodox process. This is a light tea with a slight malty note that produces a bright golden cup, making it an ideal afternoon drink.

Ceylon Exotics- Unusual and Exciting

Ceylon Rose Tea - similar to a rose flower, a mild and sweet tasting tea ideally drunk on a summer evening.
Ceylon Chai Tea - a spicy tasting tea with a touch of extra cinnamon made using Ceylon spices. A drink that is both reviving and claming.

Tea is grown in countless regions across the world, but none are as satisfying to the palate, as Ceylon Tea.
In 1852 a young Scot named James Taylor from Laurencekirk, Kincardinshire arrived in Ceylon, Sri Lanka settling on the Loolecondera Estate near Kandy; it was here that James introduced the first tea plant in Ceylon in 1867.

Today the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa is proud to present a fine range of teas from P.M.David Silva & Sons who have worked with plantations in Ceylon for over 60 years. Our teas not only create an exhilarating sensual experience, they tell the tale of a Scottish legend.
