The Corn Dolly calls itself a Real Tea Shop, and there is no doubting the serious approach to the national drink, and the quality of the product served here. This relaxed and friendly tea shop, a popular meeting place for locals and a magnet for Devon's summer visitors, provides a delicious range of meals and snacks throughout the day.
For lunch there are salads, filled jacket potatoes, sandwiches and tasty things on toast.
Children will enjoy the Humpty Dumpty Tea of boiied egg and soldiers plus a drink, or Tigger Tea of beans on toast.
For adults there's a range of tea choices, like Gamekeeper's Tea - venison, duck and pheasant paté with toast - or perhaps the Queen's Ransom of toasted crumpets with Stilton.
The Corn Dolly Tea of scones, clotted cream and jam, and The Apple Pie Tea, a hearty slice with clotted cream, are sweeter versions, but all are served with a refreshing pot of loose leaf tea from an impressive choice.
