Executive Chef, Martin Halls, has carefully designed a "not to be missed" Afternoon Tea Menu experience designed to reflect the seasons, using only the finest British ingredients.

Tea in the conservatory is delightful, with views on to the grounds beyond; or you can go one better in the summer, and sit on the terrace under a large sunshade.

THE SECRET GARDEN AT THE MONTAGUE

Right in the heart of blossoming Bloomsbury this summer, tucked away in a quiet oasis in the midst of bustling London, chance upon the Secret Garden at the Montague on the Gardens.

From May until September, the Montague on the Gardens' Secret Garden is THE perfect place to wile away the balmy English summer evenings. The Secret Garden, designed in association with prestigious floral designer and fragrance creator Kenneth Turner, will be the perfect place to enjoy a delicious afternoon tea this summer, enjoy some Pimm's or an evening barbecue. There are very few London Hotels which can boast of having their own garden in which guests can relax and enjoy wonderful Afternoon Teas and at The Montague on the Gardens charming lanterns will lure you through to the hotel's Secret Garden decorated with birch, entwined and rambling Leanna vine and summer flowers such as roses and hanging wisteria, to create a colourful, inspiring and relaxing garden space.

THE TRADITIONAL AFTERNOON TEA: offers guests a fine selection of finger sandwiches including Egg Mayonnaise & Mustard Cress; Smoked Scottish Salmon; Free-range Corn-fed Chicken with Celery & Almonds and Cucumber with Cream Cheese, Warm, Freshly Baked Scones with Devonshire Clotted Cream and home made Strawberry Jam. A fine selection of delicious Pastries and Cupcakes, including such delights as Raspberry Macaroon; Kir Royale Jelly; Lemon Curd Tart; Passion Fruit Mousse; Strawberry Meringue and Chocolate Cupcake are then served on a silver cake stand with elegant china plates and tea cups as a reminder of past grandeurs.

THE GARDEN AFTERNOON TEA: offers guests all of the aforementioned but with additional strawberries and cream.

THE CREAM TEA: offers guests Warm Freshly Baked Scones with Devonshire Clotted Cream & home made Strawberry Jam served with a delicious and refreshing Pot of Tea chosen from the excellent Tea Menu of top quality carefully chosen and interesting teas.

THE LITTLE PRINCE AND PRINCESS TEA: is a treat for every little prince and princess to enjoy and includes; Jam & Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Cupcake and Ice Cream served with a choice of Tea, Hot Chocolate or soft drink.

Of course, a delicious glass of chilled Champagne can accompany your chosen Afternoon Tea Menu.
