Once again, The Tea Council Inspectors have spent many months travelling throughout the length and breadth of Britain inspecting tea rooms and hotels in order to recognise and award those who serve the very best tea. Our Inspectors anonymously visited over 125 tearooms and hotels assessing not only the variety and quality of the teas and food on offer but also the way in which the tea is brewed and served.

Tea has gained more consumers over the last year, following the launch in 2005 of a new campaign by the UK tea industry to highlight the health benefits of tea to a younger audience. As a result, the number of 20-34 year olds drinking tea has increased for the first time in 3 years, with nearly two-thirds now drinking tea on a regular basis.
