IMPORIENT (UK) LTD

IMPORIENT is one of the United Kingdom’s leading independent tea companies, with roots extending back over 140 years. From our offices in London, UK and Mombasa, Kenya, we export more than 36 million kilos of tea worldwide each year and have grown to become one of the top three largest exporters of tea from East Africa.

In addition to our global trading and packaging activities, we also own the Pfunda tea estate in Rwanda and are, therefore, one of a select few tea companies to be intricately involved in every stage of the tea sales process; from point-of-origin through to point-of-sale.

At the heart of our business, is an uncompromising attitude towards quality, service and ethics. This is reflected in the taste of our best-in-class Premium Blend Fairtrade Tea and of our new Natural Infusions range, launched in 2010.

Since 2004, we have been proactively supporting the Noel Orphanage, which is situated directly opposite our Rwandan tea plantation and houses nearly 700 children – many of whom are victims of the Rwandan genocide.
