About Reginald Ames

Reginald Ames Ltd. is a long standing tea company that has been running in London since 1934. It is a unique blend of traditional methods & ideologies with modern views & business knowhow. The company has several strings to its bow as follows:

  1. Sourcing tea directly from the growing regions, whether this be from the centralised auctions, through brokers or directly with the estate owners, the focus is, as always, on highest possible quality. This can often include the rarest finds of just 2-3Kg lots of truly superb teas!
  2. Once imported in to the UK, the company is able to supply teas internationally in varying quantities from 0.5Kg up to full container loads.
  3. At their central London based warehouse, teas are also blended and/or scented to form a variety of both staple blends and bespoke blends as per customer’s requirements.
  4. Although their strong reputation is built around quality leaf teas, a small amount of teabag packing also takes place at the warehouse in order to cater for the quality end of the teabag market.
  5. A growing area of the business for Reginald Ames is “own label” packing. The company is able to pack a whole range of products under a customers own label, giving the customer a quality end product with a minimal amount of fuss.

The Directors of the company still pay regular visits to the growing regions in order to ensure the quality of workmanship that they hold in such high regard.

It is fortunate then, that their customers include some of the best tea companies, restaurants, hotels and tea rooms throughout the world.
