With its fabulous location next to Bristol Cathedral, the historic waterfront and Cabot Circus, the Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel offers guests an elegant and charming venue for Afternoon Tea. The Bristol Royal has famously been serving Tea & Afternoon Teas in The Club Lounge and The Drawing Room since the hotel opened its doors in 1863 and has recently been restored to its original Victorian elegance and grandeur.

Afternoon Tea here remains a Bristol "must do" and hugely popular with Bristol University students and their families as well as with local residents and other visitors.

The Bristol Royal takes enormous pride and care in perfecting, preserving and sharing the knowledge of tea, tea service, history and culture with their guests and the smartly dressed staff, under the supervision of Julie Alden,  are friendly, attentive and keen to help guests with recommendations from the carefully selected speciality tea menu.

The Bristol Royal offers their visitors a choice of the following menus:

The Bristol Royal High Tea:

Traditional finger sandwiches including; Egg Salad; Cucumber & Soft Cheese; Smoked Salmon and Roast Beef & Horseradish are followed with freshly baked Currant Scones served with Somerset Fruit Preserves & Clotted Cream. Delicious home baked Fruit Tartlets, pastries and cakes are served thereafter and this Afternoon Tea is enjoyed with your preference of a "bottomless" pot of tea chosen from the speciality Tea Menu which includes such teas as Earl Grey, Darjeeling Jungpana, Royal Afternoon Gold, Tarry Lapsang Souchong, Superior Oolong, Pai Mu Tan White Tea, Jasmine Gold Green Tea, Morning Dew Green Tea & Fancy Sencha Green Tea.

The Bristol Royal Champagne High Tea:

This Afternoon Tea is as above but enjoyed with a glass of deliciously chilled Champagne.
