The River Bar and Restaurant at The Lowry Hotel

The River Bar and Restaurant at The Lowry Hotel

Rocco Forte chose Manchester for his new hotel because it is a major international destination for leisure and business, sights and attractions that are both classical and modern. That is the key to the hotel – it happily marries valued traditions with modern style, established customs with innovation.

Afternoon Tea in the River Bar and Restaurant fits into this theme perfectly, allowing guests to enjoy not just neat little sandwiches and scones but mini prawn cocktails presented in stunning little glasses, smoked salmon and lemon crème fraîche whirls, and colourful desserts and patisserie.

The mouth watering selection of sweet and savoury is presented on rectangular white platters that are then arranged on a modern stand that shows off the colours, shapes and textures to perfection.

Taking afternoon tea at The Lowry whether whilst discussing business with colleagues, meeting friends and family or enjoying a romantic afternoon or celebration is now a hilight of Manchester's stylish social scene!   Choose from:

TRADITIONAL AFTERNOON TEA:-  A selection of freshly cut finger sandwiches including honey roast ham with wholegrain mustard; free range egg and watercress; smoked salmon with creme fraiche; cucumber and cream cheese and Lancashire cheese with tomato followed with freshly baked fruit and plain scones with Devonshire clotted cream and strawberry preserve,  A selection of fresh pastries and cakes will be served thereafter and this delicious afternoon tea will be accompanied with your choice of both innovative and classic teas beautifully brewed and served. The excellent tea menu includes Earl Grey, Morning Blend, Afternoon Blend, Organic Downy Tip Green Mao Jian Tea, and Organic Whole Chamomile Flowers.

CHAMPAGNE AFTERNOON TEA:-  As above but including a Glass of Billecarte Salmon Champagne and strawberries and cream.
