Bullivant of York

A good choice of teas, coffees and herbal infusions is available at this friendly family run tea room, which has fine weather seating in the pretty courtyard outside.

The menu lists an extensive selection of meals, sandwiches and snacks prepared to order, plus an enticing range of home-made desserts. Set teas include a traditional high tea, cream tea and speciality Chocolate Heaven - chocolate chip scone with Yorkshire clotted cream and luxury praline chocolate spread served with hot chocolate.

The high tea, which is hugely popular with children and adults alike, offers baked beans on toast or boiled egg with toasted soldiers as an alternative to sandwiches.
