TEA GUILD MEMBER

Orange Pekoe

Orange Pekoe

This charming, hugely popular and very friendly tearoom, is set in a pretty location surrounded by interesting boutique shops right beside the Thames at Barnes.

There are 7 outside tables which provide seating for 20 people and as the sun shines on the terrace from 2pm onwards this is a terrific area on fine days to enjoy your tea!

Very small customers are welcomed and Orange Pekoe has high chairs and baby changing facilities available!

The lovely, bright space is divided into two very attractive rooms - the retail counter at the front of the shop and the delightfully light and airy tearoom behind. On display as you walk in is an impressive bank of large black tea caddies that hold more than 50 different loose leaf teas, and to the right, the counter is arranged with sparkling glass domes under which mouth-watering cakes and scones are temptingly displayed.

Order your tea at the counter and it will be perfectly brewed for you in a large filter which is lifted out of the pot (so that the tea cannot ‘stew’) before being delivered to your table. Packages of the excellent, carefully selected, loose leaf teas and other beautiful tea gifts, table wares and books are also for sale.
