ROCKE COTTAGE TEAROOMS

ROCKE COTTAGE TEAROOMS

Karin Clarke’s period tearooms, Rocke Cottage Tearooms, are situated within a 400 year old Welsh long house and set amid lovely Shropshire countryside.  When Karin bought Rocke Cottage she determined to offer her visitors a step back in time and where time is taken to enjoy the quintessential experience of taking tea in a heavily beamed and distinctively styled and charming country tearoom.  1920’s and 1930’s music plays in the background whilst guests enjoy a variety of freshly prepared local produce with local produce prepared freshly on the premises, with, for example, their milk coming from Bartonsham Farm in Hereford, smoked salmon from The Organic Smokehouse, Clunbury, butter and clotted cream from The Dairy House, Weobley, and cheese from The Mousetrap, Ludlow.

Karin is keen that her guests enjoy a cosy, relaxed atmosphere, delicious foods, well chosen teas and where, in good weather, a mouthwateringly good afternoon tea can be enjoyed in her lovely garden.

Included among a range of foodie treats are:

Rocke Cottage afternoon tea - from the UK Tea Council websiteThe Classic Cream Tea:

Two plain scones served with a choice of preserves, the finest local clotted cream and a choice of teas from the extensive and well described tea menu.

The “Oranges and Lemons say The Bells of St Clements” Tea:
